SCCU Employee Benefits

Eligibility

Employees are IMMEDIATELY eligible for most benefits. There is NO WAITING PERIOD. Benefits are available to full and part-time employees (20 hours or more).

Health Benefits

We offer a choice of health coverage through CIGNA including an HMO and two High Deductible PPO Health Plans (HDHP) with a Health Savings Account option. SCCU pays a large part of the cost for this coverage.

Two CIGNA Dental plans are also available - Preventive Dental or Comprehensive Dental. SCCU pays a large part of the cost for the Dental coverage.

We offer vision coverage through Eye Med Vision Care. Employees pay the full cost of the vision coverage.

Flexible Spending Account and Health Savings Accounts

An FSA (Flexible Spending Account) allows for pre-tax dollars to be set aside and used for qualifying health care and dependent care expenses.

The SCCU HSA (Health Savings Account) is an interest-bearing, tax-advantaged savings account designed to help individuals who have high deductible health plans save for future, qualified medical expenses. This account can receive contributions through payroll deduction, or by depositing monies directly into the account. SCCU will also match a portion of your contribution to your SCCU HSA account. Short and Long Term Disability

Full time employees are eligible for Short Term and Long Term Disability coverage. Both Short Term and Long Term Disability are subject to pre-existing condition limitations.

Life Insurance

SCCU provides term life insurance to full time and part time employees at no cost.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

A confidential resource for SCCU employees and their immediate family, our EAP provides counseling, information and referral services 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Paid Time Off

Space Coast Credit Union full time employees accrue the following paid time off during their first year of employment. Part time employees accrue vacation and holidays at a prorated schedule. Additional vacation time is accrued based on years of service.

Educational Assistance Program

SCCU is committed to the need for the continued professional growth and development of its employees. It considers support for the Education Assistance Program an important vehicle for addressing that need. As an SCCU employee, you are eligible for reimbursement under this program immediately!

401(K) Savings Plan

This pre-tax savings plan can supplement your future social security and retirement benefits. Full AND part-time employees are eligible to enroll following one hour of service in our generous plan. SCCU matches a generous 100% of the first 5% of employee contributions following one year of employment.
