Congressional Report Card - How Legislators Voted on Important Credit Union Issues
Know Before You Vote!
Congressional Report Card
The League of Southeastern Credit Unions has prepared a Congressional Report Card as a guide to inform credit union members how their legislators voted on key issues affecting credit unions.
The Congressional Report Card includes:
- A brief summary of each issue included in the report, whether the League supported or opposed the proposed legislation, and the point value that a particular vote contributed to the report card
- A yes/no statement as to whether the legislator supported the credit union position
- Information as to which legislators serve on the House Financial Services Committee and the Senate Banking Committee
While we are fully cognizant that credit union members will not make a voting decision based solely on a candidate's position regarding credit unions, it is important to understand how those representing you are contributing to your future access to credit union membership and the benefits that access provides.Learn more about the history of credit unions in the United States.
